Hello All...
Karen has moved on to NEW BEGINNINGS. She quietly transitioned into the spirit world this morning at about 6:15am. I held her in my arms as she passed over. There was no struggle for her; she slept through it. I stayed with her body, cleaning her off and playing some music that we both like until removed about 10:30am.
It is bittersweet for me. I will miss her terribly in her human form, but I know that she is in a better place. She has gone to her reward, one that she sincerely deserves. She has left an indelible print in my heart and soul. We were joined together on a path lasting close to 19 years and during that time we certainly grew spiritually and emotionally together. We challenged one another's differences, causing one another to stretch and grow out of our comfort zones.
Sometimes it was frustrating but it was always rewarding and nurturing.
The trust we built between each other was unique in nature, far deeper than I have ever had with another person. Karen is my best Buddy that will continue in whatever phase of existence we are in!! She will always reside in my heart. She was and remains an amazing entity, one with very defined values and beliefs.
For a while I will feel as though robbed by the grim reaper, as time passes the sting will become less, but will never go away. As a friend told me today, there will be a limitless number of good-byes and remembrance as the days roll into weeks, months and years and I continue to have reminders of what we once had, whether when hearing a song or sensing some other form of familiarity.
So for now I will work toward letting her go home to God, where she will be coddled in His grace and love, surrounded in the healing light we have all prayed for her to have. It was not my way but His way. God knows the big picture, and I trust in His way. One lesson I have learned over the last 3 years and 14 days is that life is but a precious gift and terribly short; for some extremely short.

God Bless Karen's soul as she transitions from this earthly form to the spiritual plane of existence. I for one hope she keeps a check on me.

I was in La., caring for a friend who had just been released from the hospital when I read your post. (She does not have internet service at her home.) Although I did respond from my cell phone, it appears perhaps the message didn't make it through.
What an inspiration you and Karen have been, not only to your family and close friends, but also to those of us who met you only online. Of course, we don't believe our intersection with your lives is an accident. Thank you for allowing us to share the journey that showed us your heart, your strength and your love for Karen.
